Brief & Approach

To create a 'Year Book' which would be handed to all 3rd-year students on Final Exhibition night, as a keep-sake.

 

The exhibition was titled 'Departures' which holds strong connotations and denotations. We considered signage and imagery from train stations, bus stations and airports, we also looked at maps, signage and other navigation assets.

Art Direction & Outcome

The final design route consists of a combination of navigation found on maps and in airports, along with the simplicity and verticality of basic shape and line.

 

We created a key of shapes, colours and lines to represent various parts of the University and mapped out all of the exhibition rooms, assigning them a colour and pattern. In addition to this, the university was mapped out with more signage with the same branding.
