Brief

The White Company are well recognised for their beautiful, high quality fabrics. We were asked to allow this to inspire the design. The website needs to be clean and inviting and keep to brand guidelines by using the correct colours and fonts.

Art Direction & Outcome

We wanted to use fabric to inspire the design - both through visual imagery and also the shape and movement it provides.

I used the logo as a guide to influence an organic shape, as though I were laying fabric down above it. This gave us a subtle wave which we knew could be used in various ways.

The fabric wave because a staple within all design, taking away some of the harsh corners on the homepage, whilst on social media, it helps to tie in and create a more 'fluid' story and profile. Lastly, I explored a simple landing page idea, showing how else we could utilise the fabric wave.

Art DirectorI aided with exhibitions, charity events and running internal classes at university.

Embroidery TechnicianI worked in the textile industry for a short while helping with embroidery and printing. I was also used for my logo design skills prior to the printing in some cases.

Print & designWhilst working here, I produced and printed banners, signage, logos, re-touched photo's. I produced limited edition branding for a cricket company and also learnt to fit shop and vehicle signage (vinyl).
